How to Redeem The Free Wi-Fi Access

Simply follow these steps to redeem the free Wi-Fi access:
  1. Download the United Networks app on your phone.

           

  2. Login or register an account.
  3. Enter the AIG promo code that you received in the Redemption Email.
  4. Once registered, you will be able to view and activate your Free Wi-Fi vouchers in the app.

Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

1.1. The AIG Free Wi-Fi powered by United Networks (the “Free Wi-Fi”) promotion (the “Promotion”) will be held from 2 August 2018 to 31 October 2018 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”).


1.2. The Promotion will be administered and run by AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Pte. Ltd. (“AIG”) and is only open to Singapore residents.


1.3. Individuals who successfully purchase a valid Travel Guard® Direct Supreme or Enhanced (Per Trip) plan (“Plan”) via the link at www.aig.com.sg/buy-travel during the Promotion Period, without any cancellation, will be entitled to access to the Free Wi-Fi. For the purchase of a family Plan, only the main policyholder will be eligible for access to the Free Wi-Fi. If a group Plan is purchased, each insured will be eligible for access to the Free Wi-Fi.

 

2. Redemption

2.1. A redemption email (“Redemption Email”) will be sent to the email address you have provided at the point of purchase, with instructions on how to use the promo code in the Redemption email to redeem the Free Wi-Fi. If a group Plan is purchased, each insured will receive a Redemption Email.  


2.2. The Redemption Email will be sent two (2) days before your departure date.


2.3.  In the event that your purchase is made the day before or on the day of your departure, the Redemption Email will be sent within 24 hours of your purchase.


2.4. There will be no replacement Redemption Email sent to you if the email delivery was unsuccessful in the event that you provided an incorrect email address.


2.5. Your access to the Free Wi-Fi will last for the same number of days on your Travel Guard Direct plan.


2.6. The promo code can only be used once and for a single device.


2.7. The promo code is not transferable or exchangeable for cash, credit or kind. AIG reserves the right to replace the promo code with another item of similar value without prior notice to you.


2.8. AIG assumes no responsibility for incomplete, lost, late, damaged, illegible, misdirected forms and/or other forms of communication which may result in any policy not being issued during the Promotion Period.


2.9. The Free Wi-Fi will be provided by a third party service provider and is subject to such service provider’s terms and conditions. AIG shall not be responsible for the fitness for purpose or any other implied terms or conditions with respect to the Free Wi-Fi.  

 

3. Warranty and Undertaking

3.1. By participating in the Promotion, you agree that any information collected or held by AIG (whether contained in the application form or otherwise obtained) may be used and disclosed by AIG, its associated individuals/companies or any independent third parties (within Singapore) to arrange for the delivery of the promo code. You may opt out of being enrolled in the Promotion via AIG’s website here.


3.2. AIG reserves the right to terminate the Promotion or vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions at any time without notice to you.


3.3. AIG shall not be liable in any manner for any claims, losses, damages or expenses arising out of or relating to, the Promotion or the use of the Offer.


3.4. AIG’s decision on all matters relating to the Promotion will be at its absolute discretion and will be final and binding on all parties. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any promotion materials relating to the Promotion, these terms and conditions shall prevail.


3.5. By participating in the Promotion, you hereby agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.


3.6. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms and conditions, including the validity and enforceability thereof.


3.7. This Policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your Policy is automatic and no further action is required from you. FAQ

1. When does this Promotion start?

This applies to Travel Guard® Direct Supreme or Enhanced (Per Trip) Plan (“Plan”) sold on www.aig.com.sg/buy-travel from 2 August 2018 to 31 October 2018.

2. What is a United Networks Wi-Fi and how does it work?

United Networks Wi-Fi allows mobile data access to millions of Wi-Fi networks worldwide. United Networks Wi-Fi will give you access to Wi-Fi Hotspots in supported hotels, airports, restaurants, trains, shopping centres, and open-access areas, allowing you to save on your roaming bills through roaming with Wi-Fi instead of cellular data.

Download the United Networks app on your mobile device, register for an account and enter your promo code. Once registered, you will be able to view and activate your vouchers in the app.

3. Who is eligible for access to AIG Free Wi-Fi powered by United Networks?

Individuals who purchase a valid Plan from www.aig.com.sg/buy-travel, during the promotion period, without any cancellation.

4. How long can I use AIG Free Wi-Fi powered by United Networks?

Your access to the Free Wi-Fi will last for the same number of days on your Travel Guard Direct plan.

You will receive a redemption email two (2) days before your departure date (refer to FAQ 8) and you are advised to register and activate the promo code the day before you travel to ensure that the Free Wi-Fi voucher is activated. At this point, your Free Wi-Fi is not activated yet.

You should claim the voucher only when you are about to travel so that you can maximise its usage overseas.

Example:

If you are travelling from 1 September 2018 to 5 September 2018, you should download the United Networks app and enter the promo code that you received in the Redemption Email on 30 August 2018.

You should claim your free 5 days Wi-Fi voucher on 1 September 2018 so that your access to the Free Wi-Fi will be valid till 5 September 2018.

5. Can I get United Networks Wi-Fi when I purchase my Travel Guard Direct policy through other channels (e.g. the call center)?

We regret that this is not possible at the moment.

6. Do all policyholders in the booking get access to Free Wi-Fi?

  • For an individual policy, the main policyholder will get access to the Free Wi-Fi; and
  • For a family policy, only the main policyholder will get access to the Free Wi-Fi; and
  • For a group policy, all insured persons will get access to the Free Wi-Fi.

7. How do I activate my access to United Networks Wi-Fi?

  1. Download the United Networks app on your phone.

  3. Enter the AIG promo code that you received in the Redemption Email.
  4. Once registered, you will be able to view and activate your vouchers in the app.

8. When will I receive the AIG Free Wi-Fi promo code?

Two (2) days before your departure date, a redemption email will be sent to the email address you have provided at the point of purchase, with instructions on how to use the promo code in the Redemption email to redeem the Free Wi-Fi. In the event that your purchase is made the day before or on the day of your departure, the redemption email will be sent within 24 hours of your purchase.
